There are thousands of products that claim to be the best kept beauty secret. Most of them are for external use only. A scrub that you apply twice a day to remove the dead skin, moisturizer with added sunscreen, and natural oils to give your skin a radiant glow. Few however, are oral supplements that you can take on the daily basis that help improve the texture of your skin, quality of your nails, and strength of your hair like biotin.
Biotin is a vitamin found in small amounts of food. It is used to help prevent biotin deficiency associated with pregnancy, malnutrition, and rapid weight loss. It is also used to treat hair loss and brittle nails along with an array of other things. If you do not suffer from any of these medical problems biotin can still be useful to you.
I have been taking the pills for the past two months everyday and I have seen a drastic improvement in the quality of my nails, skin, and hair. My skin has always been relevantly good but now the texture is much smoother and free of bumps. My nails also appear to be much stronger. They have show vast improvement length wise and have not broken off when in the past they would have at this length. My hair has probably shown the most productivity. It has always been dry and with my starter locs it had become even dryer but I noticed an almost unbelievable increase in the length and texture. It is much smoother yet stronger and has grown an inch or so in just a month.
I encourage anyone who is interested in improving the strength, appearance, and health of there hair, nails, and skin to try Biotin pills. It is a natural supplement and can be found at any drug store. Please speak to your doctor for advice in regards to the appropriate dosage you should take and just sit back and wait for your great results to arrive. I do not think you will be disappointed.
What are some of other great, natural vitamins and supplements that you guys are taking?
I hope you all have a lovely day,
Sorry I have been so MYI recently! I have been working on a project but I promise that I am back and will be blogging daily just as I previously have!
Today I wanted to talk about a product that I have used quite often throughout the past year that is effective yet controversial and that is the Derma Roller.
I really can’t remember where I first found out about the product but more than likely it was at some point when I was looking up random things on the internet and I became instantly intrigued the anti aging tool.
The Derma Roller is a sleek, hand held roller that contains tons of tiny sharp needles. You grip the handle of the device and roll it against your skin while applying pressure. The tons of tiny, sharp needles are intended to penetrate the first layer of your skin and heal any scars or aging signs that have appeared over time, similar to how a razor rejuvenates your skin after you shaved.
I purchased my Derma Roller on Amazon about a year ago and have been using it on my face to help lightening the appearance of some of the facial scars that I have. While the scars still remain present I have noticed a slight positive change in the texture of my skin. Parts appear tighter and softer but not by very much.
One of the main reasons why I purchased the tool was because it was written that Angelina Jolie used the product and it has been used by top dermatologists at their practices as well. However, it does hurt and I have even seen Youtube videos where many of the people who have tried it are bleeding because of how sharp the needles are.
I am a wuss by nature and only lightly press down when using it but for more effective results it is recommended that you use some sort of topical creme along with applying added pressure to which ever area you seek improve to.
Definitely a non-conventional way to reverse the aging process but many people have been satisfied with their results. What do you guys think about the Derma Roller?
I hope you all have a lovely day,

I hope you all have a lovely day,
Hey guys! Today I was going to write a blog post about some of the beauty products that I use on the daily basis but I decided to switch it up and write about something that has taken me a long time to come to terms and that is not only accepting who I am but embracing my beauty. I have spent so much time trying to change both my inner and outer appearance so that I could impress someone who’ve I liked, or tried to fit in with a group of people who I thought were cool, and looking back on all those things now all I really can say is, “Man that was dumb!”
Yes, people are ever changing and yes, I think it is fun to embrace new trends and tryout new things but often I did and sometimes continue to do things so that I can fit a certain standard and now after doing a lot of soul searching in 2014 I think I’m just going to do me.
I love my dark skin, I love my baby dreadlocks, and I love my spaghetti arms and awkward frame and those are not things that I wouldn’t have always admitted. I believe that life is a journey and people are continually growing and learning new things about themselves everyday. I have learned from a lot of the women in the blogging community to just be who you are and embrace what you’ve got and I am so thankful for that!
With all this being said I encourage everyone to embrace who they are (if you don’t already) and share your beauty with the world.
I hope everyone has a happy Thursday!
I recently purchased this Michael Kors perfume and I absolutely love it. It was inexpensive for such a lovely, light scent. It smells elegant and is not at all an overpowering fragrance. I have already gotten a lot of compliments on it and I would recommend it to anyone who is also a fan of Princess my Vera Wang because to me that have very similar characteristics.
What perfumes are you guys using right now?
This past weekend I went out with all my roommates and sorority sisters! It was a date party at a fraternity in celebration of them completing Rush week and getting future members This also happened to be the night that I showcased my new do to the world…
I was definitely a little nervous because I didn’t know what everyone’s reaction would be from such a drastic transformation. I had gone from having long extensions the day before to being pretty much bald! I loved/LOVE my new do and everyone that I had seen that day seemed to share the same sentiment which was comforting yet I was still a bit timid.
Luckily my boyfriend said that since I shaved my head I need to OWN IT! So I did just that! Once we started getting ready for the party I forgot all about how nervous I was about seeing everyone and realized that I liked it and everyone I love liked it so what else matters?ANDDDD LUCKILY PEOPLE FUCKING LOVE MY HAIR! I have never gotten so many compliments in my life! Don’t worry its not going to my head or anything but it’s great to know that your friends and people that I don’t even know are like, “girl, you are rockin’ that do!” Feels great! Here are some pictures from the night!
worn my sisters floor length dress that was made of silk material and shortened in the front with a long black train in the back. The top pf the dress was made of gold sequins with black silk material underneath. Real fierce!
Sorry, I look so scary in the picture above! I think I am still learning how to pose with my lack of locks. Hopefully I get the hang of it before I scare anyone away!
I hope you all enjoyed my post!
Until next time! ❤
