I have a lot of things to be grateful for in my life but there are a few things that happened this week that have made we feel especially thankful and I would like to share them with you.
My dogs can be butt heads. They are puppies so they like to chew up my wires and shoes but they are also hilarious and always energetic and happy to see me. This week they went to the groomers and it was weird that they weren’t in the house for a little while. It felt empty and too quiet. It made me realize how grateful I am to have them around all the time and that I have such amazing dogs.
A New Business Opportunity
I had struggled to find a job that I not only enjoyed but made money doing and after searching for months I have finally found one and I am so happy that I did. I feel like I was meant to do what I am doing and I am grateful to have been given this opportunity.
My Supportive Family
My family is so supportive it is crazy. More supportive than I could have ever dreamed of them being and I am so thankful. They truly inspire me and I couldn’t ask for a better family to be a part of.
My Art Teachers
I have recently re-re-begun drawing and painting and I love it. I have always loved drawing and I am glad that even after I haven’t done so in a little while my ability to draw and paint hasn’t gone away. I am also thankful for the teachers who took the time to teach me how to draw. It is not a talent that you are born with or at least I definitely wasn’t and I am grateful for them all believing in my.
That The Neighbors is Coming Out on Friday
OMG! I have been waiting for this movie to come out since I saw the previews in theaters months ago. It looks hilarious and the commercial cracks me up every time I see it. I rarely go see movies opening night but I will be seeing this one come this Friday!
What are you guys grateful for?
I hope you all have a lovely week!
Happy Throwback, Thursday!
I am sure that each of your Instagram feeds will be littered with pictures from your friends 3rd birthdays or their first Easters but for this joyous Thursday I wanted to blog about an artist who is very near and dear to my heart and that is Robin Thicke.
I first heard the heavenly melody of Robin Thicke’s song “Lost Without U” probably 7 years ago on the radio and I was instantly obsessed with that song. I thought that is was the perfect beat, tempo, and melody, and it evoked sexuality and lust. It was like love at first lyric. At this time, because I had only heard the sound of his voice I assumed that Robin was black. Not sure why exactly….perhaps because of the sensuality but for whatever reason I thought he was black and so did my mother.
My family and I enjoyed the song so much that we decided to buy the whole album from a record store (when those still existed) and after looking around for a bit we found the CD and were blown away to find that he was a super hot white man. Not that color plays a role in the music that I listen to but we were shocked and happy to find out that a white boy had so much soul. We bought the CD and Robin Thicke has held a sensual place in my heart ever sense.
He has recently been in the media after word that he and his beautiful wife and lover for over 20 years will be getting divorced. It broke my heart to hear this news and I genuinely hope that they figure out their differences.
In conclusion I would like to dedicate this beautiful Throwback Thursday to Robin Thicke. You may be Lost Without your love but I am so glad I found you!
Do you guys like Robin Thicke? Let me know in the comments below!
I hope you all have a lovely day!
Some of you may be asking yourselves “why is she blogging about Christmas colored nick nacks in April?” and the answer to that question is I don’t know!
I love Christmas! With a sincere passion, as I am sure that many of you do. I genuinely feel happier and more upbeat come Christmas time than I do during any other time of the year. People are constantly singing, abc family has some of the greatest Christmas movies on, the music is fantastic, and oh yea you get presents! You get to get and give presents! What could be better than that?
I came across all the items featured above in my house and I thought “well why don’t I photograph them because they look so good together!” The bottle is some sort of decoration and has a cool metal handle/flip kind of thing that seals the top. I believe the tin box was originally filled with cookies from last Christmas and now makes the cutest little decoration. Last but not least are my sisters clear, heart-shaped sunglasses. Not sure what the point of heart-shaped clear sunglasses is but they are adorable and look good on everyone.
Just photographing a bunch of Christmas colored items made me significantly happier even though Christmas is 9 months away. Part of me wishes that people were always as happy as they are around Christmas time, but I guess part of the joy of the holiday is that it only comes once a year.
I encourage everyone to feel as happy as they do during Christmas time, everyday. Maybe looking through some of your holiday decorations will inspire you to feel those holiday feelings you get in December. Just because it is months away doesn’t mean you can’t feel the spirit all year round!
I hope you all have a lovely day!
I wanted to do a segment in which I showcase a piece of my past every once in a while on my blog! For my first feature I wanted to show some of the soccer pins that I received when I was just a little tike and played for the American Youth Soccer Organization.
I played soccer from the time I was 7 till the time that I was 18 and I always really enjoyed it. I signed up originally because everyone and their mother played soccer around me and I continued playing because I developed a sincere love for the game. I met some of my best friends in the world on the soccer field and I am so glad thankful for all the experiences that I had throughout my time as a soccer player.
As I got older and practiced more I got a lot better and made the All Star Team every season that I played. All Star’s was made up of two or three of the best soccer players from each team in your age group. We traveled all around SoCal often playing three games a day. We stayed in hotels, went out to dinner together, and sometimes even won these tournaments. No matter if you won the entire tournament or came in last place, every girl went home with a shiny metal pin baring them emblem of the tournament. We all would pin them on our custom made soccer backpacks with our names stitched on the backs, as almost a nonverbal way to communicate to all the other girls at the tournaments that we had paid our dues and were experienced players and also because they looked cool.
My time as a soccer player has come and gone but I kept all my pins as a way to remind me of all the places that I went, friends that I made, and how hard I worked just as a little kid.
Do you guys still have any pieces from your childhood that you can not part with? I would love to know if so!
I hope you guys are having a lovely weekend!

I hope you all have a lovely day,
With spring in full force and summer quickly approaching I have been revisiting some of the clothing and accessory items in my closet. Recently I came across a lovely camel leather combination perfect for the soon to be desert-like heatwave sure to strike the Northern Hemisphere this summer.
The bag is a cross body from Michael Kors that I received as a gift and have used a lot on causal day outings. It is not made to store a lot of items really, just your wallet, phone, and keys fit perfectly. Great for a music festival!
I bought the single strap sandals from Target a while ago. As soon as I saw them I knew I needed them. They are made by Mossimo and are very sturdy, made from a hard leather material, yet extremely comfortable. The top strap of the sandals is a red, orange, yellow and black Aztec like pattern which has definitely been a hot trend this year and like forever.
I think that camel leather is going to be a big hit come this summer as it has been in the past and I can’t wait to see all the lovely outfit combinations that come from it.
Thoughts on camel leather? And what are your fashion trend predictions for 2014? I would love to hear!
Hope you have a lovely day,
I received a pair of Denimocracy leggings from a family friend last week and I am absolutely obsessed with them. They look like jeans but are stretchy leggings and are very easy to slip into. They are extremely comfortable and I received many compliments on them when I worn them last week. The pair that I have is a red and black wash, kind of tie dye like pattern, and go perfectly with a black top, such as the one that featured above. I would recommend looking into purchasing these leggings if you like the pair that I have pictured. They are the epitome of chic comfort!
What are your favorite pair of pants right now?
I hope you guys have a lovely day,
